You may or may not know that I spent the better half of my life as a ballerina. From the age of 4 until I left home for college, I trained in dance styles such as ballet, modern, and tap multiple times a week. I was passionate at the time and committed to growing and improving at each of those genres. I had dreams of continuing to study dance professionally, but the river called "life" carved a new path that I had no choice but to follow.


Now, almost 8 years since my last dance class, I work professionally as a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle photographer. Although in my youth I had a different idea of who I would be when I became an adult, my path still somehow led me right back to dance. Today, I still carry the hunger to grow and learn, and apply it to my photography.

Most of my passion projects include some sort of fusion between fashion and dance, my two true loves. It brings me so much joy to share with you my latest and greatest passion project, "Blending Dance and Fashion".

I chose to feature two young and talented dancers who are local to Atlanta, GA, where I live. Kaysi and Rudie are gifted ballerinas who train hard at their craft. They just so happened to be friends, so the chemistry was an absolute joy to photograph.

I was able to give broad advice on styling and what they should wear for this photoshoot. It isn't usually my practice to control styling 100% but I give my subjects the wiggle room to wear whatever feels "most like you". These young ladies were able to express themselves not only through dance but through fashion.

Something completely unexpected happened when my work was chosen to be featured in a photo gallery in New York City. Two pieces from this project were selected to be featured in Monad's Juneteenth Celebration Exhibition. It was so powerful to fly to NYC to see my work printed and framed on a gallery wall. It was a dream come true and confirmation from God to keep pushing. I was so proud to feature two talented black ballerinas on such a large platform.
